Happy Birthday Madeleine!

Sorry for the lack in recent posts - our camera is not working properly. I think it's taken a bit of a battering. Amazingly Madeleine has reached the 4 year milestone. We managed to stretch out the celebrations, beginning in Norfolk over the weekend for a gathering at Grandma and Grandpa's.

Me and my mate Bess.

"Two-cakes Madeleine" had a very busy day today with pre-school in the morning followed by an afternoon party with friends at home. Thankfully the weather was kind to us so we could make use of the garden.

Thomas was allowed to open the cards while Madeleine made light work of the presents.

Madeleine requested a flower fairy princess cake.
Pass the parcel with "impartial" control over the music.
Party picnic tea in the garden.

Thomas Turns Two

Restricted by the weather to a day indoors, however Thomas's spirit wasn't dampened. Thank you to everyone for the lovely cards and presents, and to those who travelled to see us.

Stamford Fair

On our way to the fair, we picked up Madeleine's best friend Gabrielle and her family.

Thomas was adamant that he was going to ride the "mutter-mutter bike". With health and safety out the window we looked on with amusement and slight anxiety. He looks like quite a natural.

Madeleine needed a little more encouragement, so a willing Andrew stepped into the tea-cup, only to be swiftly removed by the ride-attendant as he was weighing it down too much. Although Madeleine was crying initially, she was smiling by the end.

Aurelie and Gabrielle (behind), Alex and Carlota (in front). Can you spot Andrew and Thomas.

Madeleine and Gabrielle; unable to contain their excitement.

Peter & the Wolf

The Peter and the Wolf obsession continues with Madeleine, resulting in the characters being created from playdough.

Caged Animal

Rather than using these football goals in the conventional way, Madeleine decided that Thomas was a danger to society, and locked him up. Surprisingly, Thomas was happy to go along with it whilst being fed leaves through the gaps.
