Madeleine's Hair Cut

We finally, and reluctantly, took the plunge to get Madeleine's hair cut. I think we'd all had enough of the tears every time it was brushed. Unfortunately we couldn't afford to fly Mai over from Japan, however Rachel was really good. Madeleine likes her new "do", and I do too, but I am a little saddened that it marks the end of the ringlets.

Bure Valley Railway

Along with our friends from Stamford, we ventured out to take a ride on the Bure Valley miniature steam train, with the lure of an ice cream at the other end.

Nearly a year ago exactly since we last had a holiday at Grandma and Grandpa's, we returned for a lovely break. The weather couldn't have been kinder at the beginning of the week, so, just like the rest of the population of East Anglia, we headed to the coast to make the most of it. All the better for being joined by Nana, Papa and cousin Freya.
